Our Story

SALZBURG, AUSTRIA

Long before Hoffmann Salzburg became a boutique, it all began in our mother’s small sewing room.

We grew up surrounded by the gentle hum of her sewing machine, dresses hanging by the window, and boxes filled with ribbons, buttons, and thread. Women from our neighborhood would stop by with a favorite dress that didn’t quite fit the way they hoped, and our mother would patiently take the time to make it feel right again.

She instilled in us a belief that stays with us to this day:

Clothes should fit a woman – a woman should never have to fit her clothes.

We’re Anna and Clara Hoffmann, two sisters from Salzburg, and some of our earliest memories are of watching women in front of our mother’s mirror.

Sometimes a waist needed to be taken in. Sometimes a hem needed to be shortened. Sometimes a dress just needed to drape differently.

And then there was that moment.

She would look again, stand a little straighter, smile, and say,

“Yes. This is me.”

That feeling became the heart of Hoffmann Salzburg.

What We Believe In

That belief has guided Hoffmann Salzburg from our mother’s sewing room to the boutique we proudly continue today.
